Welcome everyone to last week’s SEARCH Conference at Sheraton Subang!
My classmates were in high spirits and cam-whoring mode throughout the two-day conference.
I dunno who is the top cam-whorer in class, but Ai Khim should be near the top.
And yeah, I am totally worth more than that.
And I have no idea where my latest pose originated from, and God knows I posed similarly when I was at Urban-Attics a couple of nights back (that post coming real soon).
Well, I shall fast forward past all the mundane presentation and what-nots to get to Akil’s presentation at noon. He was the first student presenter, so yeah, all eyes were on him.
And he did awesomely well, but the only problem was that I was the next student presenter.
So yeah, for the first time in a long time, I felt a little nervous, it was not everyday you had to present in front of your lecturers and other professors from all around the world in an international conference in a hotel ballroom after your housemate totally set the bar high.
Wow, it felt strange to feel human again =p
So yeah, lunch was a non-event for me, did not eat much, so much for the RM50 I paid for the conference.
And next was my presentation, and how did I calm myself down? My trusty Zooey the Music Fairy of course.
Zen-before-a-presentation playlist:
1) Viva la Vida – Coldplay
2) Swans – Camera Obscura
3) Here Comes the Sun – The Beatles
4) Underdog – Spoon
My turn next.
Flop or not?
Did I choke?
Did I faint?
The moment of truth.
After days of preparation.
*drum roll*
Jokes and suspense aside, I think I was alright, not my smoothest presentation ever as I had to ask the chair-person “does this mean I have five minutes left or I just used up five minutes?’ when she passed me a slip which read ‘five minutes’ mid-presentation.
All in all, everyone produced some really impressive presentations.
But most importantly, I could finally eat!
PS: Credit to Boon and Edmund for the photos, and who between the both of them, managed to take ONLY ONE photo of my presentation.
=p
