That my dear underpriviledged friends is the famous Babi Guling, only THE best Balinese dish there is (nasi goreng comes a close second). Seriously, loads of tourists come to this particular shop in Ubud for the original version fof this delicious dish. The drink, which is called Asam Jeruk, compliments the Babi Guling and is very much worth a try as well.
That is the breath-taking sunset at Jimbaran Bay. There are a whole row of seafood restaurants in this area that overlook the sandy beaches of Bali. Their seafood is famous for being both fresh and cheap. We had prawns, mussles, fish and calamari. Simply sublime!
The only down part was that my mixed fruit juice suspiciously tasted like watermelon. Well, you cannot win them all right?
Fun Facts about Ubud: Ubud is known for its cultural and traditional attractions. It is the home of the famed traditional market. In Ubud, there are several villages that specialize in their own brand of art and traditional work. For instance, there is one village of painters as well as another village of wood carvers. That is their life as well as their niche. Kinda like in Naruto with the Fire Country and Wind Country. Ha ha, could not resist.
